The KZN heavy-duty submersible pumps are designed for tough conditions. Features a top discharge, slim-line design with agitator to suspend heavy slurries of coal, ash, sand or gravel. The impeller, wear plate and agitator are made of abrasive-resistant 28 percent chrome iron. The replaceable wear plate’s hardened surface on the suction side prevents erosion, assuring optimum performance. Protected by Class H motor insulation and built-in full-load amperage and temperature overload protection. Features double silicon-carbide mechanical seals in a separate oil-filled seal chamber and a heavy-duty lip seal. Pumps a sump or pit down to within inches of the bottom. Available in sizes up to 1,690 gpm and heads to 77 feet.

Hydra-Tech’s S3T 3-inch hydraulic drive submersible trash pump is designed for jobs such as construction sites and manhole pumping. The S3T is able to fit into 12-inch openings and is used where lightweight, high-volume trash pumps are needed. Can be outfitted with a small-hole water strainer for use in pumping situations with limited solids. When used with Hydra-Tech HT11 to HT15 power units, the S3T is capable of flows up to 380 gpm. The safe and variable-speed hydraulic drive can be used where electric power is hazardous or impractical.

The YP30T model pumps up to 356 gpm and solids up to 1 1/16 inches; and the Yamaha YP40T (pictured) is a 357cc construction site-ready pump capable of pumping 449 gpm and handling solids up to 1 1/16 inches. It delivers an 89-foot total head with a 26-foot suction head. The pumps feature a cast-iron impeller and volute case for greater strength and durability. Standard National Pipe Thread fittings allow for easy connection with suction and discharge hoses. They are all powered by OHV, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engines that are quieter, more powerful and more fuel-efficient than comparable models.

Brave has added trash pumps to its current line-up of log splitters, pressure washers, trenchers and earth augers. The new line includes two semi-trash models and one trash model. All are powered by Honda engines. They feature an aluminum housing and a cast-iron impeller and diffuser for long life. The pumps can handle solid particles in suspension up to 1 1/8 inches in diameter, offer a 50 psi maximum, and depending on the model, can pump 147 to 272 gpm. The removable lightweight aluminum acoustically treated enclosure offers excellent corrosion resistance and significantly reduces sound levels to 68 dBA at 23 feet, even when operating under full load. It is an ideal pump for use on sewer bypass applications in residential neighborhoods or other sound-sensitive areas. Its 88-gallon fuel cell base provides a full load operating runtime of 23.5 hours before refilling. Atlas Copco’s WEDA electric submersible pumps are compact, lightweight, and easy to maintain. The WEDA 04 and WEDA 08 models are single-phase electric submersible dewatering pumps with maximum flow rate capacities of 66 to 86 gpm and maximum heads of 37 to 50 feet. They have polyurethane semi-vortex impellers designed to minimize clogging. The WEDA 04B pump draws water down to 0.04 inches. With the built-in non-return valve, the pump can be moved without spilling or losing suction. A 2-inch outlet transforms the pump into a regular dewatering pump. The WEDA 04S and WEDA 08S sludge/trash pumps are sand- and mud-resistant. Their vortex cast-iron impeller can handle 1-inch diameter materials. The pumps are small, lightweight and have high-efficiency motors, and their triple-shaft seal design assures reliability. They have thermal motor protection. Removing three bolts provides access to the motor and
impeller. The pumps weigh just 20 to 30 pounds and come with a 33-foot cord.
