Walk-behind trenchers
Charles Machine Works Company has introduced a new line of CX-Series Ditch Witch walk-behind trenchers with the new patent-pending CX Track system. The units have a

shorter left track and longer right track that improves traction and shortens the trencher’s overall length. The C-Series wheel-driven trenchers feature an exclusive, offset rear-tire design that delivers balanced traction and stability.

The six models – including the C12, C14, C16, C16X, C24X and the C30X trenchers – dig at depths between 24 inches and 48 inches. The models use the Ditch Witch 35K digging system or the new exclusive OptiCut digging system — both designed to work with Ditch Witch trenchers to optimize production and performance.

Little Beaver Kwik-Trench mini trencher

Mini-trencher
The Kwik-Trench mini-trencher from Little Beaver has a simple, push-forward design and compact size for accessibility in tight areas. Driven by triple V-belts, the cutter wheel rotates up to 800 rpm for fast, clean cutting. A slip clutch protects the engine and drivetrain from wear or damage. Capable of cutting up to 30 feet per minute, it can cut a trench width from 1 to 4 inches, depending upon model. Backfilling takes less time because soil is deposited to the side of the trench. The unit’s pneumatic tires protect turf from damage. Heat-treated, hardened-steel teeth are carbide-tipped for superior performance and extra-long life. The unit easily cuts through compacted clay, road fill, asphalt and tree roots up to 10 inches thick.

Toro TRX-16 walk-behind trencher

Walk-behind trencher
The Toro TRX-16 walk-behind trencher delivers 10 gpm of hydraulic flow at 2,900 psi to the boom to help maximize digging efficiency. Its easy-to-use control system uses three basic controls to operate traction and trenching functions. The unit’s low center of gravity helps it perform on side hills and uneven terrain. It can be outfitted with a 24-, 36- or 48-inch boom. The track design allows for zero turn capability, greater stability on uneven terrain, eliminates tire ruts and can work in wet or soft ground. Powered by an easy-to-start 16-horsepower Kawasaki twin-cylinder engine, the unit has a large oil reservoir that helps the engine run cooler, which prolongs engine life.
