Visiting with the seasoned professionals at this issue’s cover story, Patriot Rentals & Equipment, had a familiar ring to it.
Through no fault of their own, they were presented with an opportunity to band together and build on an opportunity to launch a business their way. For years, they dreamed of working together, but timing, until 2018, wasn’t right.
After the dust settled around the professional lives of Dan Martino, Tim Reiss and Tom Fasnacht, who had all worked together in rental operations in the St. Louis area, Fasnacht started the ball rolling, building the plan that could help the three finally realize the dream of their careers.
It’s a path that parallels my journey into owning and operating Urbain Communications LLC and Pro Contractor Rentals magazine and related properties.
The old adage, “Everything I have done in my career has perfectly prepared me for this opportunity” certainly fits the Patriot Rentals & Equipment trio. Each one in the group recognized the talents and strengths of each member. They also share a passion for customer service with a mix of savvy business sense.
Once they hit the ground running, they worked together to identify associates with whom they worked with in the past that they believed had the same fire in their belly for customer service and a passion for the equipment rental business. Today, they are a group of a dozen hard workers doing what they do best and more importantly, with a customer-first attitude they couldn’t fully embrace working for rental centers owned by investment bankers and run by bean counters.
Like them, I feel truly blessed to work with individuals who strive to do their very best and help brainstorm, develop, write, sell, manage and design each and every issue of this magazine. Not everyone has an opportunity to develop and work with a dream team!
I wish the Patriot Rentals & Equipment dream team the very best in the future and hope their story inspires you to follow your professional dreams.
