DeWalt rebrands Powers Fasteners, announces new cast-in-place anchors

DeWalt will begin to transition the Powers brand of mechanical and chemical fastening systems to the DeWalt brand, according to company sources.


The new range of DeWalt anchors will launch in the back half of 2016 and the existing Powers range of anchors and fasteners will transition to the DeWalt brand over a period of time. The Powers name will remain on DeWalt anchors packaging as “Engineered By Powers.”

DeWalt will also update and expand its range of cast-in-place anchors. They will be designed to deliver fast and reliable installations leveraging the trend toward Building Information Modeling (BIM).

The updated anchors will include the DeWalt Woodknocker II, a cast-in-place wood concrete form anchor that has a much wider base, no sharp points and an improved membrane that reduces the chance that concree will seep into threads during the concrete pour. 

Also new will be the DeWalt Bang-It cast-in-place insert for metal decking. with a new multi-thread option for 3/8" and 1/2" rods.

The DeWalt Deck Insert (DDI) that is also coming will solve hanger placement issues in corrogated metal decking. Its design allows placement anywhere on the metal deck, including on the incline.

The company reports it will have applicable code approvals and registrations by product launch dates.
